Air India has introduced a new airport assistance service called “Project Abhinandan” at 16 major Indian airports. The service is aimed at providing personalized and hassle-free on-ground experience to Air India passengers.
The Service Assurance Officers (SAOs) deployed under Project Abhinandan will offer assistance to Air India passengers at check-in, boarding, baggage claim, and other airport touchpoints. They will also help passengers with special needs, such as those with disabilities or the elderly.
The SAOs will be specially trained to provide assistance in English, Hindi, and other regional languages. They will also be equipped with tablets to access Air India’s passenger information system and provide real-time updates on flight status and other information.
Air India says that Project Abhinandan is part of its efforts to improve the overall passenger experience. The airline is also working on other initiatives, such as introducing a new loyalty program and upgrading its in-flight amenities.
